Singapore property developers transacted 1,329 units of new home in September, more than the 1,258 units in August. Bulk of the sales from the more affordable homes, ranging $800,000 to $1.5million as it is easier to secure home loan with the tightened loan measures.
The Penrose, which is the latest recent new launch, out of 389 units, 75% were sold priced below S$1.5 million, according to market research.
Last month’s transactions were the highest sales volume notched since July 2018’s 1,724, and marks the fifth consecutive month of increase in monthly sales since the “circuit breaker” in April 2020. The figure is also 4.6 per cent higher than the 1,270 units sold in September 2019.
